Comforting Eridan x Reader

You slumped over the counter you work at as your best friend went off to ask yet another girl to be his date or whatever. You Think her name was Feferi. He seemed real serious about his girl. It was basically your job to sooth him when he was turned down. Thankfully you were good at it. You looked up at the two. It seemed to be going good. Your stomach dropped and heart clenched at the thought of him being with someone else. Not that you were jealous though. That would be to cliché. People asked how you could be friends with him. Once you past his ego he was just lonely. All he needs is some friendship and attention. You were clouded in your thoughts and didn't see him flee the seen when he was turned down. Feferi was already dating someone at the time. You snapped out of it and he wasn't there. At first you thought he left with Feferi and didn't say by but she was sitting at the food court with Sollux. You checked your phone.
It read 'Hey (Name) she turned me down. Can you meet up with me later plz?'
You frowned at his apparent sadness. He really liked this one. If only he would ask you out.
When your shift was over, which didn't go by fast enough, you were out in a flash. His home was just down the street. The light purple walls were familiar to you. Pictures of Eridan and you were on the walls. If you were someone else they might confuse you for a couple. You wish. The day you first met was the beginning of 7th grade when he had bumped into you. This caused you to argue for a while which surprisingly brought you close to each other. Besides the occasional friendly hug there was no affectionate things. Sobbing came from the farthest door down the hall. You knocked before entering because you were classy like that. His huge frames were set on the small nightstand and he was sprawled facedown on the bed. His hair was a fright. "Hey Eridan. It didn't go as planned did it."
He shook his head no before adding, "I even bought her a necklace but she wouldn't take it. Why does she not like me! We spent a lot of time together! She barely spent time with that ass."
You sat down on the edge of the bed and patted his back. When the sobs returned you made a sort of shooshing noise that normally calmed him down. Eventually he got up and made room for you. Getting comfortable he tried drying off his tears. You did it for him. He blushed and you gave a slight smile. "Thanks (name)."
"It is no problem Eri. I am happy to help." That was partially true. You like spending time with him and helping him feel happy but didn't feel particularly happy when he spent his time admiring the other girls. An arm wrapped around you and pulled you in. Eridan snuggled into your shoulder. You didn't say anything in fear of him moving. He placed a short kiss on your forehead. You blushed madly and hoped he didn't notice. He grabbed the necklace that was laying next to his glasses.
"Since she didn't want it maybe you would enjoy it."
You thanked and turned which allowed him to fasten it. Closer inspection showed it a medium sized heart, which was covered in small diamonds. Inside was a large purple gem.
"It's beautiful." You said while admiring it and watching it sparkle in the sun.
Eridan was watching intently but was overjoyed at the fact that you loved it. You were nice to him, much nicer than the others and you were very pretty. You smile was radiant. He wanted to see you smile more often. He went closer to you and gave you a short and sweet kiss. You blush to him was more beautiful tan anything. He was afraid of the rejection and losing his only friend but you weren't rejecting him or leaving. It gave him a warm feeling.
You ended up staying the night and just ending time together. Sharing stories, watching movies, and kissing. Just like you imagined and what he was looking for.
